Was capable of attacking the paint with changes of speed and direction, scoring in congested areas. Displayed excellent body control in fastbreak, and ability to get into his spot in pick-and-roll scenarios. More interestingly, he carried over the same level of confidence he exhibited at the youth level.

sample-image The slashing and touch at the rim is spectacular. He’s a walking paint touch that has the craft and handle to get himself to the rim despite not being yet an explosive athlete at 6’4” and only 18-years old. The shot mechanics are funky and the results aren’t there but Mathias M’Madi shot 89.4% from the free-throw line in the U18 Africa Championship and is currently shooting 90.9% from the free-throw line in the U19 World Cup. The touch also shows on his finishes. Only a matter of time until the shooting comes along and when it does, we’re looking at for sure first round prospect.
